Sarath Samaraweera

DR. SARATH SAMARAWEERA is an Honours graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 48 years of involvement in Tea Industry in Sri Lanka. He holds a Doctorate from the University of London, Imperial College of Science and Technology. He is a Chartered Engineer. As the Development Engineer of the Tea Research Institute, he was responsible for the development of the first-ever Fluidized Bed Dryer for Tea. He was the Technologist and Assistant Director of the Institute till 1990.
