Jim Clark has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Jim started their career in 1993 as the Vice President of the Outdoor Products Group at Flambeau Outdoors Hunting. Jim went on to work as the Director of Business Development at The Coleman Company from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, they became the CEO of Watermark/Yakima, a position they held until 2005. From 2003 to 2006, they served as the CEO of Yakima Products. Jim also held various positions at the Outdoor Industry Association, including Vice Chair and Board Member from 2002 to 2007. In 2007, they founded their own company, Jim Clark & Associates, LLC, where they worked as the Principal. Jim also served as the Board Chair at Leupold & Stevens, Inc. starting from 2009. Additionally, they were a Board Director at Big Brothers Big Sisters Columbia Northwest from 2009 to 2017. Currently, Jim holds the position of Vice President of Professional Services at Mass Ingenuity, which they started in 2011.

Jim Clark completed their education in a chronological manner. From 1980 to 1984, they attended Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) and achieved a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a focus on Marketing & Finance. Following this, between 1985 and 1987, they pursued an MBA at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, specializing in Economics & Finance.

Additionally, in November 2014, Jim Clark obtained a Change Management Consultant Certification from Prosci.
