Holly Nelson, MOT, OTR/L, currently serves as the Waiver Program Manager at MAB Community Services since September 2024 and as an Occupational Therapist with the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired since October 2023. Previous experience includes roles as an Occupational Therapist at Encompass Health from August 2022 to April 2024, and with Athena Health Care Systems as a per diem Occupational Therapist from June 2021 to October 2023. Holly also worked at Yale New Haven Health and Encore Rehabilitation Services in similar capacities, and gained early experience as a babysitter through Care.com. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science Studies and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University.

The Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired provides vision rehabilitation and support services throughout Massachusetts to more than 1,200 adults, primarily older adults, who are blind or visually impaired. Programs include access to low vision clinics, peer empowerment support groups, one-to-one volunteer assistance, in-home vision rehabilitation, adjustment counseling/mental health support, and access/assistive technology training. Our unique blend of programs and services enables individuals to learn to live confidently with vision loss.
