Gabrielle Mondestin

Gabrielle Mondestin has an extensive and diverse work experience in the field of communications and public relations. Their most recent position was as the Chief Communications Officer at MBTA, where they started in 2023. Prior to that, they held the same role at Boston Public Schools starting in 2022. Gabrielle also served as the Public Relations Manager at PTC from 2020 to 2022. Gabrielle has experience in political campaigns, having worked as the Traveling Press Secretary for Warren for President from 2018 to 2020 and as the Press Secretary for Elizabeth for MA in 2018. In addition, they held various communications roles in the political sector, including Director of Communications for the Office of Connecticut State Treasurer Shawn T. Wooden in 2020, Director of Communications for the New Hampshire Democratic Party during the 2018 midterm elections, and Press Secretary for the Committee to Elect Martin J. Walsh in 2017. Gabrielle began their career in communications as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Communications for Boston Public Schools in 2016 and as a Press Aide & Associate Press Secretary to Mayor Martin J. Walsh at the City of Boston from 2014 to 2016. Throughout their career, Gabrielle has demonstrated their ability to manage communications and public relations strategies, oversee crisis communications, and develop strong relationships with media professionals.

Gabrielle Mondestin has a diverse education history. Gabrielle obtained their High School Diploma from the Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers in 2008. Gabrielle then attended Bryn Mawr College from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Political Science. During their time at Bryn Mawr College, they also had the opportunity to study abroad at L'université Panthéon-Assas and Université Paris Ouest Nanterre La Défense, earning French major credits. Later on, from 2014 to 2017, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Corporate and Organizational Communications from Northeastern University, specializing in Communication and Media Studies.
