Lynsey Heffernan

Lynsey Heffernan is a seasoned professional in public policy and strategic planning, currently serving as the Chief of Policy & Strategic Planning at the MBTA. Previous roles include Assistant General Manager of Policy & Transit Planning and Deputy Director of Policy and Strategic Planning at the same organization. Lynsey also has experience in the Department of Youth Services as the Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative State Coordinator and Detention Reform Specialist. Earlier in the career, Lynsey worked as a Staff Attorney at the Committee for Public Counsel Services. Lynsey is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Leadership and Management at Harvard Kennedy School, following a law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
