Marcela Moreno

Marcela Moreno, AICP, currently serves as Project Manager for Bus Transformation at MBTA since November 2023. Previously, Marcela held the position of Transportation Planner III at the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments from November 2022 to November 2023 and was a Riders’ Advisory Council Member at WMATA from June to December 2022. Experience includes a Senior Program Associate role focusing on Planning and Technology at the Community Transportation Association of America and Social Media Manager at SōR Studios. Significant contributions include assisting with the Transit Master Plan in Asheville, managing federal research projects at Georgia Institute of Technology, and environmental compliance investigations with Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. Marcela holds a Master’s Degree in City and Regional Planning and a Bachelor’s in History, Technology, and Society, both from Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a study abroad experience in History from the University of Leeds.
