Michelle Burrington Smith

Michelle Burrington Smith currently serves as the Senior Associate Director of Scholarships and Financial Aid at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, a position held since April 2011. In this role, Michelle advises the Director on policy development, strategic planning, and overall management within the financial aid office, which supports 15,000 students and families. Prior to this, Michelle held several key positions in higher education, including Director of Student Administrative Services at Emerson College and Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Boston University. Michelle's academic background includes a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Boston University and a BA in History/Political Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
