Andre Clapp CFA is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in investment management and research. Currently serving as Senior Investment Officer for Public Equities at Massachusetts Pension Reserves Investment Management since June 2014, Andre oversees the analysis and monitoring of a public equities portfolio that constitutes 43% of the $57 billion PRIT Fund. Previously, Andre was a Portfolio Manager at GMO from June 1997 to March 2013, where responsibilities included managing approximately 10% of $8 billion in assets in the International Active Division through fundamental and quantitative analysis. Earlier experience includes a tenure as a Post Graduate Researcher in Experimental Astrophysics at the California Institute of Technology and as a Research Scientist at Radiation Monitoring Devices, Inc., where Andre developed Cadmium Telluride radiation detectors for healthcare applications. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley and a BS in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
