Mike Kennealy

Mike Kennealy is currently an advisor at MassChallenge, but they have also held positions at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Lawrence Public Schools, Spectrum Equity, and TA Associates.

Mike Kennealy joined the Baker-Polito Administration in early 2015 as Assistant Secretary for Business Growth in the Executive Office of Housing & Economic Development. In this role, they worked to advance the administration’s strategy for job creation and business development. Mike played an integral role in the expansion of major employers in the Commonwealth, including Aetna, Alnylam, EMD Millipore, Flextronics, General Electric, Insulet, Siemens, Waters, and Wayfair. Mike also served as Co-Chair of the board of the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center and Vice Chair of the Financial Services Advisory Council.

In March 2013, Mike Kennealy became Special Advisor to the Receiver for Lawrence Public Schools. In this role, they helped turnaround the district by working with the receiver on key initiatives and strategies.

From August 1997 to January 2013, Mike Kennealy was Managing Director at Spectrum Equity. In this role, they helped lead growth investments in technology and healthcare companies.

From January 1992 to December 1995, Mike Kennealy was an Associate at TA Associates. In this role, they worked on investments in a variety of industries including healthcare, technology, and consumer products.

Mike Kennealy received their AB in Government from Dartmouth College and their MBA from Harvard Business School.
