Head, Science at MASSIVE - Data Heights

Paolo Marocco is the current head of science at MASSIVE - Data Heights. Paolo has also worked as a temporary researcher at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" from January 2004 to December 2008, authoring ten scientific papers. Their fields of expertise include machine learning and natural language processing theory/applications, in particular LSA, LPP and distributional semantics models, as well as classification, clustering, keyword and topic extractions, and semantics tools for literary studies (Digital Humanities). From January 2000 to December 2007, they were a consultant and author of several entries for Istituto dell’Enciclopedia Italiana Giovanni Treccani, including 50 entries for La Piccola Treccani, Enciclopedia Del XXI Secolo, and Enciclopedia del cinema. Their essays in movie critics, web technologies, media and social network, and history of technology have been widely acclaimed. From January 2015 to January 2018, they were a partner at CLEVERFIELD. Paolo has also served as an adjunct professor at Università degli Studi di Genova from January 2015 to January 2016. Currently, they are working as a company associate / project manager at Camestres.

Paolo Marocco has a Ph.D. in Economics from Università degli Studi di Genova, a Master in Neural Network and Psychology from Sapienza Università di Roma, and a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics and Computation from Università degli Studi di Genova.
