Soumya Ranjan Bhuyan

Soumya Ranjan Bhuyan has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. Starting in 2007, they worked as an Application Programmer at TechMahindra, where they were responsible for enhancing, testing, and maintaining a letter and brochure generation system for AT&T. Soumya Ranjan also developed an automated file compactor tool, leading to a significant reduction in integration testing time.

In 2010, Soumya joined Capgemini as an Associate Consultant, where they contributed to the development and testing of HSBC core banking products. Their responsibilities included understanding requirement documents, coding, debugging, and defect tracking.

Moving forward, in 2012, Soumya served as a Programmer at Arizona State University, where they identified a bottleneck in the manual software update process and developed an automatic update component using C# in Microsoft Visual Studio. This initiative resulted in zero downtime caused by new software version releases.

Recently, Soumya has been working at Massively Parallel Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer since 2014. Their role involves designing and developing a distributed software development ecosystem using Java, C, C++, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, and MySQL. As the leader of a small team, they are responsible for making design decisions, end-to-end software design, coding, testing, tools development, and continuous integration.

Soumya Ranjan Bhuyan pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation at the National Institute of Science and Technology from 2003 to 2007. Later, they attended Arizona State University for their Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 2012 to 2013. In addition to their formal education, Soumya Ranjan Bhuyan obtained various certifications including a Self Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity in November 2017 and certifications in Server-side Development with NodeJS, Front-End JavaScript Frameworks: AngularJS, Front-End Web UI Frameworks and Tools, and Multiplatform Mobile App Development with Web Technologies from Coursera in 2016. Furthermore, they earned an Oracle Certified Associate certification from Oracle Corporation, but the specific completion date is not provided.
