Javier Cabello

Javier Cabello is an experienced data governance and technology professional currently serving as the Head of Data and AI Governance Capabilities and Head of Data Purpose and Protection at MassMutual since September 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Managing Director of Technology and Data at State Street and Vice President of Data Management and Data Governance at Brown Brothers Harriman, where leadership of the Data Governance organization was a key responsibility. Javier's background also features senior positions at Santander Bank, where work focused on technology risk assessment and data quality remediation, and Banco Santander, where significant contributions were made to data management and IT core systems migrations across multiple countries. Javier began a career in consulting at Deloitte in Spain, specializing in data analytics and IT risk management. Javier holds a degree in Ingeniero de Telecomunicación from Universidad de Valladolid.
