Sharmila Ramar

Sharmila Ramar is the Global Head of Infrastructure & Operations at MassMutual, a position held since February 2021. Prior to this role, Sharmila served at TIAA from August 2007 to February 2021 as Senior Director - Global Head of Cloud Reliability Engineering and Director of Web/Middleware/Database/Siebel Operations. Sharmila's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Application Server Specialist/Sr Oracle DBA at Cable & Wireless UK from 2001 to 2007, and as Team Lead/Programmer Analyst at C2 Technologies/Got a job.com from 2000 to 2001, along with a role as Programmer Analyst at Best Computer Systems from 1998 to 2000. Sharmila possesses extensive expertise in the design and architecture of managed solutions, along with operational support, high availability, cluster management, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions. Sharmila holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Bharathiar University, earned between 1994 and 1998.
