Walt Vetter

Chief Engineer at Master Meter, Inc.

Walt Vetter has extensive work experience in various engineering and management roles. Walt started their career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Modine Manufacturing Company in 1982, where they provided support for satellite plants and implemented cost reduction programs. Walt then worked as a Manufacturing Specialist at Magnetek Incorporated, where they served as a liaison between Corporate Management and Plant Management and oversaw the relocation of a major assembly line. Afterward, they became an Operations Manager at Optigraphics Corporation, where they supervised a team of 125 employees and managed the relocation of the facility to a new location.

Following this, Vetter worked as an Engineering Manager at Executive Technical Services, leading a team responsible for designing aircraft instrumentation systems. Walt then joined Jacobs Chuck as an Engineering Manager, where they coordinated new projects from concept to implementation, utilizing Lean Manufacturing Concepts. Vetter then moved to Photo Etch, a division of AIRCO Industries, as a New Product Development/Engineering Manager, where they planned and executed the relocation of the entire facility and designed layout using Lean Manufacturing concepts.

In 2005, Vetter became the Manufacturing Engineering Manager at American IronHorse Motorcycles, responsible for preparing the facility to double production within three years; however, the company experienced a downturn. Walt later joined Custom Products Inc. as the Director of Sales & Product Development, establishing a presence in the Midwest and focusing on the DFW metroplex. Currently, Vetter works at Master Meter as the Chief Engineer, where they are involved in developing and introducing new product lines and liaising with the Israeli Research and Development department.

Walt Vetter attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville from 1977 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
