Renita Nabisubi is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in digital financial services and project management across various organizations. Currently serving as Lead Digital Economy at Mastercard Foundation since October 2020, Renita focuses on advancing digital financial solutions. Prior roles include Champion for Inclusive Financial Services at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where Renita supported local African communities in accelerating financial inclusion programs, and Head of Digital Financial Solutions at AFRwanda, with a mission to enhance access to affordable financial services for low-income populations. Renita's expertise spans roles at Financial Sector Deepening Uganda, Grameen Foundation, Alcatel-Lucent, Vodafone Italia, and MTN Uganda, encompassing project leadership and innovative financial services implementation. Renita holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Methods of Management of Complex Systems from Università di Pavia and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Makerere University, along with continual professional education in digital finance and capital markets development.
