Carol Wirthmann is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in software engineering and credit portfolio management. Currently serving as Vice President of Software Engineering at Mastercard since January 2016, Carol has previously held several leadership roles at Citi from 2005 to 2014, including Vice President of Credit Portfolio Manager for the LATAM region, where responsibilities encompassed managing a $30 billion portfolio and coordinating key financial initiatives. With a strong background in authorizations and fraud prevention, Carol contributed to significant projects, such as the ECS Project, which aimed to modernize credit card systems.
