Garett Lee

Garett Lee is an experienced professional in the fields of quantitative risk analysis, model validation, and chemistry, currently serving as a Director within the Mastercard AI Governance program since April 2022. Prior to this role, Garett worked as a Quantitative Risk Analyst Lead at USAA, focusing on credit modeling, and as a Lead Model Validator at Silicon Valley Bank, where responsibilities included financial stress testing and serving as a liaison between business lines, internal audit, and financial regulators. Earlier career experiences include working as a Chemist at Mallard Ink Company, where pilot manufacturing and research led to new product lines, and as a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Utah, involving advanced electrochemical research. Garett holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Iowa and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at the University of Minnesota, Morris.
