Mike Latza

Mike Latza, CPP, CISM, currently serves as the Regional Chief Security Officer for Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Mastercard since 2021, overseeing security across 81 markets and leading efforts in converged cyber and physical security to protect corporate assets and personnel. Prior to this role, Mike held various security positions at the U.S. Department of State from 2013 to 2021, including Lead Security Manager for the Middle East and North Africa and Assistant Regional Security Officer in the UAE and Iraq, focusing on risk management and security operations for U.S. personnel. Mike's early career includes serving as a Captain in the United States Army, where responsibilities included leading teams in high-stakes operations. Mike holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Dayton and is pursuing a Master of Science in Security Management at the University of Denver.
