Prashanth Rajan

Prashanth Rajan serves as Vice President, Government Engagement Head & Chief of Staff, and previously held the position of Vice President of Global Public Policy and Director of Public Policy at Mastercard since October 2021. Additional experience includes participation in the Corporate Leaders Program at the Council on Foreign Relations from February 2023 to August 2025 and serving as Director of Public Affairs at APCO from March 2018 to October 2021. Prashanth Rajan was also a NextGen National Security Fellow at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) in 2020 and held managerial roles at KPMG US from April 2015 to March 2018. As a Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State from January 2008 to April 2015 and a Contract Specialist at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) from June 2006 to January 2008, Prashanth Rajan has developed substantial governmental and public policy expertise. Educational credentials include a BA in Economics and Politics from New York University and an MBA in International Management from The George Washington University.
