Rachel Thompson

Rachel Thompson currently serves as SVP, Assistant General Counsel for Privacy & Data Protection at Mastercard, leading privacy initiatives in the Americas since April 2022. Prior roles include VP, Senior Managing Counsel for North American Privacy at Mastercard, Lead Senior Counsel for Data Privacy at CBRE, and Director of Data Privacy at Tapestry, where responsibility encompassed global privacy compliance. In addition, Rachel has held significant positions in privacy consultation and legal advisory roles at PwC, Baker McKenzie, and DLA Piper. Rachel holds a Graduate Certificate in Privacy Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master of Laws in Media & Technology Law from UNSW, and an LLB from the University of Technology Sydney.
