Tao Sun

Tao Sun, CFA, is currently the Vice President and Head of Risk for Asia Pacific at Mastercard. They previously served as a Senior Managing Consultant at Mastercard Advisors, where they led risk practice efforts in Greater China, and as Director of Credit Strategy and Risk Management at X Financial, a fintech startup. Earlier in their career, Tao held senior roles in portfolio management and credit strategy at Royal Bank of Canada, and worked as a consultant at TransUnion and Capital One. Tao holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan and another in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
