Viraj Gupta

Viraj Gupta currently serves as the Head of Product for New Payment Flows and Debit for the Small Business segment at Mastercard, a role held since September 2018, focusing on developing payment solutions tailored to small businesses in North America. Prior to this position, Viraj was Vice President of Open Banking Product & Partnerships, where leadership was demonstrated in team building and strategic market development across Latin America, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East and Africa. Experience also includes directing Mastercard’s retail credit card and installment products, optimizing risk-adjusted returns at BMO Financial Group, and managing Certificates of Deposits and Savings Accounts at RBC. Early career included a consultant role at PricewaterhouseCoopers, with education credentials that include a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and an MBA in Strategy and Finance from Smith School of Business at Queen's University.
