Charlie Broaddus has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Charlie started their career at Stonehouse Golf Club as a Cart Attendant from April 2013 to May 2015. Charlie then worked as a Contributing Writer at Bleacher Report for two months in 2015. Charlie also gained experience as an Editorial Intern at Henrico Citizen, producing weekly stories, from August 2015 to May 2016. In 2016, they served as a Staff Writer at Capital News Service, reporting on the Virginia General Assembly and the presidential election. Charlie also interned at Sports Illustrated Kids, where they pitched, reported, and wrote a cover story. From February 2016 to March 2017, Charlie held dual roles as the Sports Editor and later as the Editor-in-Chief at The Collegian. Charlie then joined Common Ground as the First-Generation Student Coordinator, developing and implementing a support program for first-generation college students. Charlie took on the role of Sports Producer at Richmond Times-Dispatch from May 2017 to August 2018 and won a Virginia Press Association award for their five-part series on brain damage and high school football. Prior to their current position as Chief Marketing Officer at Mastermind.com, they worked as an Admissions Counselor for Communications at the University of Richmond from August 2018 to September 2019.

Charlie Broaddus attended the University of Richmond from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism.
