Joshua Rockey

Joshua Rockey has extensive experience in education, currently serving as the Principal of Swanson Elementary School in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District since August 2005, overseeing various schools including Butte and Sutton Elementary. Rockey has previously worked as a math teacher at Palmer Junior Middle School and held leadership roles in both academic and extracurricular settings, such as District Elementary Basketball Co-Coordinator. Rockey also has experience in multi-age teaching at Park View Lutheran School and coaching baseball at Luther North College Prep. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Youth Family Education, a Master of Arts in Education, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership, with ongoing education in a Superintendent Certification Program at the University of Alaska Southeast.
