Kurt Nissen

Kurt Nissen's work experience begins in 2012 when they worked for FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as an E-learning Developer. In this role, they created training content using Adobe Captivate and trained multiple employees across different plants. Kurt then moved on to become a Process Engineer, where they leveraged programming skills to develop automation tools and provided maintenance support for computer systems.

In 2015, Kurt joined OnPoint Group, LLC as an IT Analyst. Kurt later transitioned to the role of Network Administrator & App Developer, where they managed IT teams and integrated acquired companies. Kurt also supervised a large IT budget and implemented solutions like Okta for automated life-cycle management. Kurt modernized communications by migrating phone lines to Zoom, spearheaded business continuity initiatives, designed cloud-based data centers, and enhanced security measures through standardization and 24x7 SOC monitoring. In their most recent role at OnPoint Group, they served as the Director of Information Technology, Infrastructure & Security, then moved on to become the Director of Information Technology, Enterprise Applications & Infrastructure, and eventually the Vice President of Information Technology, Enterprise Applications & Infrastructure.

Kurt Nissen earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering Technology from The University of Toledo, which they completed in 2015. Additionally, they completed an Executive Leadership Programme at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Kurt has also obtained certifications including the Cisco Meraki Certified Network Operator and Cisco Certified Network Associate (Routing and Switching) in July 2015 and 2017, respectively.
