Audrey Malagon is a distinguished mathematician with extensive experience in academia and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Senior Director for Programs and Chair of the Council on Teaching and Learning at the Mathematical Association of America, Audrey leads a team aimed at improving undergraduate mathematics education for over 7,000 professional members. As a Professor of Mathematics at Virginia Wesleyan University since 2011, Audrey has held various leadership positions, including Chair of the Mathematics Department and Chair of the Academic Effectiveness Committee, contributing significantly to institutional initiatives and faculty development. Audrey also serves as a Mathematical Advisor and Board Member for the Verified Voting Foundation, advocating for secure election practices, and previously led a national project for SIMIODE, INC. dedicated to enhancing differential equations pedagogy. Audrey holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Emory University and a B.A. from Agnes Scott College, graduating with honors.
