Lucian Sega is an accomplished mathematics educator and director with extensive experience in mathematics competition preparation and teaching. Currently serving as an Associate Editor for the AMC 10/12 Editorial Board at the Mathematical Association of America since May 2019, Lucian founded and directs SEGA MATH ACADEMY, providing online and in-person classes for various mathematics competitions since September 2013. Lucian's previous roles include lecturing at San Jose State University from 2008 to 2013, where undergraduate courses in diverse mathematical disciplines were taught. Additionally, Lucian held the position of Head of Secondary Mathematics at EPGY Stanford University between 2010 and 2012, overseeing the instructional staff for online secondary-mathematics courses. Lucian earned a PhD in Mathematics from Purdue University and holds a BS in Mathematics from the University of Bucharest.
