Douglas Sears is an experienced legal professional with a distinguished career spanning over four decades. As the Owner and Senior Partner at Matheny Sears Linkert & Jaime since August 1979, Douglas Sears has been involved in major complex litigation. Previously, Douglas Sears served as an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of McDonald & Donahue from August 1976 to August 1979, where responsibilities included defending insured clients such as Astar Pharmaceutical Corp and U-Haul International. Before that, Douglas Sears held the position of Supervising Deputy in the Major Crimes Division at the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office from February 1971 to August 1976, successfully trying twelve first-degree murder cases to verdict.
