Mark Simmons

Mark Simmons has extensive experience in finance and leadership roles. Mark currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Matheson, a position they have held since 2023. Prior to this, Mark was the owner of Simmons CFO Services, starting in 2021. Mark also worked as a CFO Associate at NOW CFO from 2021 to 2023, where they provided interim CFO services to private and non-profit companies. From 2017 to 2021, Mark served as the Chief Financial Officer at Pivot Learning, where they focused on improving finance functions and supporting the organization's strategic direction. Before that, they held the position of Chief Operating/Financial Officer at the Consortium on Reaching Excellence in Education (CORE) from 2002 to 2021, where they successfully turned the company into a profitable entity. Mark's previous experience includes controller roles at Crimson Consulting, Division Controller at GEA Group, cost accounting manager at Guess?, and controller/CFO at Summit Machine Builders.

Mark Simmons completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting at the University of Colorado Boulder, from 1980 to 1985. Mark then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Finance and Financial Management Services at the University of Colorado Denver, which they completed from 1997 to 2000.
