Denis Gurchenkov

Denis Gurchenkov has extensive work experience in the field of compiler development. Denis worked for MathWorks as an Engineering Manager and Team Lead for the Compiler Development team, where they oversaw the development of an optimizing compiler for the MATLAB programming language. Denis also contributed to static type inference and program analysis technology used in other MathWorks products. Prior to MathWorks, Denis worked at Excelsior, LLC as a Sr. Compiler Engineer, where they developed and maintained the SSA-based IR and optimizer for an optimizing Java Virtual Machine. Denis also contributed to various parts of the compiler and worked on consulting projects. Denis started their career at XDS Ltd as a Software Engineer.

Denis Gurchenkov earned their MSc degree in Maths and Computer Science from Novosibirsk State University (NSU) from 1995 to 2001.
