Byung Se So

With over 20 years of experience in innovation and global business development in fast-growing highly technical industries, Byung Se now provides the vision and leadership required to drive the future growth of Matica Bio as a global contract manufacturer of cell and gene therapies.

Prior to joining Matica Bio, Byung Se was an executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics, serving the Samsung Semiconductor division. During his 24 years of tenure he had held various engineering, business development, quality assurance, and product planning, positions creating innovation and new business models for growth.

Byung Se holds a PhD degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and BS and MS degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University. He holds more than 10 US patents in semiconductor and computer technologies as the primary inventor.
