Thomas Plumpton (BSc Hons) has extensive work experience in software development and web development. Thomas currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Matillion, where they work primarily on Matillion ETL in Java 8 and GWT. Thomas is also involved in integrating Cypress with a legacy codebase.

Prior to their role at Matillion, Thomas worked at Barclays as a Software Developer, focusing on IDV (Identification & Verification) of customers for MCA (Multi-Channel Applications). Thomas started as a Junior Software Developer and later received a promotion to become a BA4 Java Developer.

Before Barclays, Thomas worked as a MEAN Stack Developer at Retail Sensing Ltd., where they utilized Vanilla JavaScript, jQuery, D3.js, and MongoDB to visualize data collected from public vehicles globally.

During their university studies, Thomas gained practical experience as a Web Developer at Ocean82, where they designed and created multiple websites using WordPress. Thomas also had a part-time role as a Bartender at Rochdale Cricket, Lacrosse & Squash Club, where they handled bar operations and assisted in database system repair and improvement.

Additionally, Thomas has customer service and database management skills from their experience as a Parts, Service & Accessories staff at Rochdale Honda.

Thomas Plumpton obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computing from the University of Bolton. Thomas attended the university from 2015 to 2018 and received a Bachelor of Science with Honours First Class in Computing. Prior to their university education, Thomas attended Rochdale Sixth Form College from 2013 to 2015, where they pursued A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science. Their secondary education took place at Oulder Hill Community School & Language College from 2008 to 2013, where they completed their GCSEs.
