Susan Vail Johansson

Susan Vail Johansson began their work experience in 1997 as an Account Coordinator at NJN Publishing. Susan then moved on to INO Therapeutics in 2000, where they served as a Project Manager until 2007. From there, they joined Ikaria as a Clinical Research Associate and later became a CTMS Administrator. In 2009, Susan joined Ferring Pharmaceuticals as a CRA and eventually progressed to the roles of Senior Clinical Research Associate and Clinical Research Manager. Susan then transitioned to Pacira Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in 2015, assuming the positions of Senior Clinical Research Manager and Associate Director of Clinical Operations. Currently, Susan is the Senior Director of Clinical Operations at Matinas BioPharma, a position they have held since 2022.

Susan Vail Johansson completed a Master of Science degree in Drug Discovery and Development from Drexel University College of Medicine between 2020 and 2022. Susan also obtained a Master's Certification in Project Management from The George Washington University School of Business in 2005 and 2006. Additionally, Susan holds a membership at the Association of Clinical Research Professionals since July 2011 and the CCRA certification from ACRP.
