Jonathan McNamara has held multiple roles in various companies throughout their work experience. Jonathan started their career as a Valet Supervisor at The Chase Park Plaza in 2010, where they worked until 2014. In 2013, they became a Teaching Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis and held the position until 2014. In 2014, Jonathan joined FDH - Engineering Innovation as a Project Engineer, but left in 2015. Then, they worked as a Technical Specialist at Orbital Engineering, Inc. from 2015 to 2016. Currently, they are employed at MatkinHoover Engineering & Surveying as an Assistant Project Manager, starting in 2016.

Jonathan McNamara obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Associates of General Science from Northwest Missouri State University from 2004 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, Jonathan has obtained several certifications, including Confined Space Entry Training from Orbital Engineering, Inc. in May 2015, Gas Hazard Awareness Training from STTS in February 2015, OSHA 10 Hour- Construction from 360training.com in February 2015, Engineer In Training from the Missouri Board for Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Professional Landscape Architects in September 2014, and Equipment Safe Operation Training- Self Propelled Elevating Work Platforms from Hertz Equipment Rental in February 2015.
