Rampi Ramprasad currently holds the position of Michael E. Tennenbaum Family Chair Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology since February 2018 and serves as Co-Founder and CEO of Matmerize since December 2020. Prior to these roles, Rampi Ramprasad was a professor at the University of Connecticut from August 2004 to January 2018, where Rampi Ramprasad progressed from Assistant to Associate to Full Professor. Rampi Ramprasad began a professional career as a Staff Scientist at Motorola from August 1998 to August 2004. Rampi Ramprasad earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1992-1997), a M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from Washington State University (1990-1992), and a B. Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (1986-1990).
