Laurie Lapat-Polasko

Laurie LaPat-Polasko is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience in remediation and bioremediation. Currently, Laurie serves as the Vice President and National Director of Remediation at Matrix New World Engineering, leading a team of hydrogeologists, engineers, geologists, and scientists to tackle complex environmental challenges using innovative technologies. Prior roles include Principal at Ramboll Environ, where Laurie directed global bioremediation projects, and Chief Science Officer at Ciris Energy, focused on enhancing coal-to-natural gas conversion. Laurie has held key positions in various organizations, including Vice President at AMEC Geomatrix and Office Manager at Parsons Engineering Science, where Laurie's leadership contributed significantly to the growth and profitability of environmental divisions. Laurie's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Maryland College Park, alongside degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University, and a B.S. in Biology from Chatham University.
