Luis Sabaté

Luis Sabaté has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry. Luis currently serves as the President of Matrix Renewables since March 2021. Prior to that, they held various leadership positions at NEXTracker, Inc, including Chief Operating Officer from April 2018 to March 2021 and Senior VP, Global Operations from June 2017 to May 2018. Before joining NEXTracker, they worked at SunEdison International LLC as Senior Vice President & COO from June 2015 to June 2017. Luis also served as SVP Business Integration at TerraForm Global from January to June 2015. Earlier in their career, they held roles at SunEdison International LLC, BP SOLAR, and SerIDOM, Servicios Integrados IDOM, S.A. Notably, they were the COO EMEA & LatAm at SunEdison International LLC from January 2014 to January 2015 and the Project Director at SerIDOM from 2003 to 2007.

Luis Sabaté obtained a Master of Science in Electromechanical Engineering from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, where they studied from 1991 to 1997. In 2008, they also attended IESE Business School for a Professional Development Program (PDD) in General Management. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in SEC Compliance, Financial Statement Presentation, and the Role of the Audit Committee from ExecRank.
