Richard Wong has a diverse range of work experience. Richard began their career as a Pharmacy Assistant at Safeway Canada in 2002, where they collaborated with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance providers to assess patient needs and processed prescriptions. In 2018, Richard volunteered as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Volunteer at CAWST, where they worked with a research team to create educational resource maps and performed geospatial analysis. In 2019, they volunteered again as a GIS Volunteer at the Canadian Red Cross, where they provided editing and creating features for disaster responders and facilitated mapping events. Between 2013 and 2017, Richard studied at Royal Roads University, where they acquired a Bachelor of Science (B.A.) degree in Environmental Practice with a specialization in Natural Resource Management and Conservation.
From 2007 to 2011, Richard pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of Calgary, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Natural Sciences with a focus on Geology and Chemistry.
In 2000 and 2001, Richard attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and received a Certification in Retail Pharmacy Assistant, specializing in Pharmacy Technician/Assistant.
