Shaun Toner

Shaun Toner has extensive work experience as an environmental scientist and project manager. Shaun worked at Matrix Solutions Inc. from 2011 to the present. Their roles at the company included Principal Environmental Scientist, Technical Lead Aquatic Sciences, General Manager, and Senior Environmental Scientist. In these positions, they managed various projects focusing on natural heritage surveys, environmental assessments, regulatory compliance, geomorphology, aquatic habitat surveys, wetland monitoring, and surface water monitoring. Shaun also reviewed technical reports related to these projects. Prior to joining Matrix Solutions, Shaun worked as an Environmental Scientist at AMEC from 2004 to 2011.

Shaun Toner earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Biology, Ecology and Environmental Science from The University of British Columbia, which they attended from 1998 to 2003. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications including the Canadian Certified Inspector of Sediment and Erosion Control from CISEC INC in April 2017, the Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in June 2015, and the Professional Biologist (P.Biol.) from the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists in June 2006.
