Christian Pellevoisin has a strong background in scientific and technical roles related to tissue engineering and alternative testing methods. Christian currently serves as the Scientific Director at MatTek Life Sciences since 2022. Prior to that, they held positions such as Chairman S92J at Groupe AFNOR and Convenor of the WG8 for irritation and skin sensitization of medical devices at ISO - International Organization for Standardization, both starting in 2019. Christian also worked as a Consultant at Urbilateria Conseil from March 2022 to May 2022. From 2011 to 2022, they were the Scientific Director at EPISKIN SA, where they provided scientific and technical support for tissue engineering models and played a significant role in developing new methods for in vitro testing. Before that, they worked at LOREAL in various roles, including scientific and technical support for skin engineering and alternative methods, as well as Information System Manager. Christian began their career as an Assistant Lecturer (ATER) at the University of Tours and INSERM in 1994.
Christian Pellevoisin obtained a PhD in Neurobiology and Neuroimagery from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) between 1991 and 1995. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Human Toxicology, Risk Assessment, and Vigilances (THREV) at the Université de Paris from 2018 to 2020.
