Alvaro S.

Alvaro S. is a seasoned engineering and technology professional with extensive experience in leadership and entrepreneurship. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Mattel, Inc. since October 2022, Alvaro previously co-founded Caribu, an award-winning educational family entertainment platform, which was acquired by Mattel in 2022. Alvaro's entrepreneurial journey also includes co-founding LinnDo, a design agency, and JAMedia, a management and production services for bands. Earlier career roles include working as a Global Services Solutions Consultant at Telvent, a Shared Systems Engineer at Terremark, and a Network Architecture Senior Engineer with UNION RADIO. Alvaro holds a Master’s Degree in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Management from Imperial College London and an Engineer’s Degree in Computer Science from Universidad CEU San Pablo.
