Andreas Raptopoulos

Andreas Raptopoulos has a long history of entrepreneurship and innovation. In 1999, they were selected as a graduate of the Royal College of Art in London, where they invented the 'SoundCurtain', a device that transforms noise into a controlled sound environment in real-time. Andreas licensed the technology to Herman Miller, Inc. In 2001, they founded and directed aylo. In 2006, they founded and ran Future Acoustic LLP in partnership with the Royal College of Art, London. In 2011, they founded and became the CEO of Matternet, Inc.

Andreas Raptopoulos received their Dipl.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering & Aeronautics from the University of Patras between 1992 and 1997. Andreas then went on to earn a Master of Arts - MA in Industrial Design Engineering from the Royal College of Art between 1997 and 1999, and a MSc in Industrial Design Engineering from Imperial College London during the same time period. In 2011, they attended the Singularity University Graduate Studies Program, where they studied Artificial Intelligence and Robotics.
