Bill Brown

Bill Brown is a technology executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Bill is currently an advisor at Matterport, a company that creates 3D technologies to quickly and easily create a digital twin of any property.

Brown started their career at Lexi Devices, Inc. where they worked for several years before moving on to Matterport. Bill was CEO of Matterport from April 2013 to December 2018, during which time the company grew from pre-revenue to a substantial revenue run rate. Under their leadership, Matterport raised a total of $77M in funding and created over 1.4 million digital twins.

In December 2019, Brown left Matterport to join SewerAI as Executive Chairperson. SewerAI is a cloud-based transmission and distribution infrastructure management platform that uses AI and computer vision to streamline workflows from defect identification through remediation. Bill remained with SewerAI until September 2020 when they transitioned to their current role as advisor at Matterport.

Bill Brown completed their MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. Prior to that, they completed their BA/BS Econ in Marketing and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. Bill also attended Toll Gate High School.
