Dawit Elias

Dawit Elias is a Senior Product Designer at Matterport since July 2021, leading the design of iOS and Android applications that convert physical spaces into 3D models. Notable achievements include a redesign of the user onboarding experience, resulting in a 65% increase in uploads to Matterport’s cloud platform, the production of the app's first UI sounds, and collaboration on UX flows for proprietary camera integration. Prior to Matterport, Dawit served as a Senior Product Designer for Esri, focusing on mobile apps that enhance field operations across various industries, and held multiple design and development roles, including leadership positions for community projects like Black Girls M.A.P.P. and People for the People. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology.
