Brian D. Walters

Brian Walters serves as the Executive Vice-President and General Counsel of Matthews International, having joined the company in January 2005 and advancing to this role in February 2022. With extensive experience in directing domestic and international legal matters, Walters has held various positions at Matthews, including Vice-President and General Counsel since 2009 and Senior Vice-President from 2015 to 2022. Prior to Matthews, Walters was a partner at Fried, Kane, Walters, Zuschlag & Grochmal, where significant litigation experience included representing the Pittsburgh Steelers in a notable constitutional challenge. Additional legal experience includes serving as an associate at Thorp Reed & Armstrong, LLP, focusing on labor and employment matters. Walters holds a BA in Political Science and English from Boston College and a JD from the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University.
