Spencer Reed

Spencer Reed currently serves as the Assistant General Counsel and Compliance Officer at Matthews Real Estate Investment Services™ since April 2023. Prior to this role, Spencer held the position of Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at Marcus & Millichap from June 2018 to April 2023, and was a shareholder at Prince, Yeates & Geldzahler from July 2015 to June 2018, focusing on commercial litigation and corporate law. Experience as an attorney at Van Cott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy from September 2010 to June 2015 included second-chairing trials and handling various legal disputes. Spencer also contributed to academia as an adjunct faculty member at Neumont University, teaching courses on American Legal Systems and American Government. Earlier roles included working as a Corrections Officer for the Utah Department of Corrections after graduating from the Fred House Corrections Academy, and as a Web Developer for LocalVoice. Spencer Reed holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in International Studies from the University of Utah.
