Ernesto Vargas-Azofeifa has been working in the technology industry since 2001. In that time, they have held various roles such as IT Manager, Senior Software Developer, Director of Technology, DevOps Engineer & Practice Lead, DevOps Engineer, Gerente de Productos Digitales, and Chief Technology Officer. In 2001, they were hired as IT Manager for Elite Residences, where they designed a full serving multi-agents real estate website. In 2003, they started their own outsourcing IT services company, IT Movil. In 2007, they became Senior Software Developer for Open Source Consulting, S.A., where they were responsible for the day to day operation of a mission critical 24/7 LAMP stack application. In 2005, they were IT Manager for eNetwork de Costa Rica, S.A., where they administered eight Window-base servers and developed and managed an Affiliates Program for the sportsbook. In 2014, they were hired as Director of Technology for ProofPilot, where they were responsible for providing a secure, compliant, reliable, and an innovative research studies SaaS platform. In 2016, they were hired as Chief Technology Officer for CheckThem, Inc., where they worked as an advisor and consultant and collaborated with the development and scaling of CheckThem.com. In the same year, they were also hired as DevOps Engineer & Practice Lead for Gorilla Logic, where they lead the DevOps practice within the organization and supported recruitment by interviewing candidates for DevOps positions. In 2020, they were hired as Gerente de Productos Digitales for Grupo Gente. Currently, they are Chief Technology Officer for both mattilda. and Namutek Fintech.
