Marc Coles is an experienced professional in buying and merchandising, currently serving as the Head of Buying & Merchandising at Mattressman since December 2023. Previously, Marc held the position of Buying & Merchandising Manager at The Cotswold Company from 2009 to December 2023. Additional experience includes roles as Merchandise Planning Manager for Furniture at Tesco (2005-2009), Merchandiser for Furniture at Laura Ashley (2004-2005), and Project Manager/Planning at Habitat (2000-2004). Early career positions included Planning & Buying in Electronics & JMR Integration at WHSmith (1998-2000) and as a Graduate Trainee at John Menzies Retail (1997-1998). Marc Coles holds a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford, earned between 1994 and 1997.

We take our customers’ sleep very seriously and as Britain’s biggest mattress specialist, we take pride in offering only the very best mattresses, bed frames, divans, ottomans and bedroom furniture. We are extremely proud to have a team of sleep experts in every one of our retail outlets, providing not on the best advice but also making our customers’ journey to the land of Nod as easy as counting sheep. We have a factory on-site where we employ a skilled team of craftspeople to manufacture hundreds of all-British mattresses every day, along with a fleet of delivery vehicles and drivers who take pride in delivering to all of our customers with care, all on a free next-working-day service.
