Karl Sköld

Karl Sköld has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Karl is currently working at Q-linea as the Director of Contract Development and Manager of Consumable Development, a role they have held since 2018. Prior to that, they co-founded and owned Maurten since 2015.

In addition, Karl Sköld has worked as an Affiliated Researcher at Caramba, Department of Medical Sciences, Cancer Pharmacology and Computational Medicine. Here, they focused on pre-clinical and clinical research to improve human healthcare and disease prevention.

Karl also served as the CEO of Umbrella Science from 2017 to 2018 and as a Project Manager at Uppsala BIO from 2017 to 2017.

Karl Sköld's earlier experience includes being the Head of Discovery and a board member at Denator, where they developed tools to stabilize biological samples for better analytical results. Karl also worked as a Ph.D. student at Uppsala University, specializing in Medical and Biological mass spectrometry and Neuropeptidomics. Additionally, they worked as a Research Engineer at the National Veterinary Institute, focusing on mass spectrometry.

Karl Sköld pursued their education in the field of science, specializing in molecular biology and biotechnology engineering. Karl obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biotechnology engineering from Uppsala University, completing their studies from 1994 to 1996. Karl further pursued their academic journey and obtained a Master of Science degree in molecular biology from the same university, completing their studies from 1996 to 2000.
