Jaquelyn Baugh, COTA/L, has a diverse work experience in the field of occupational therapy. Jaquelyn started their career as an Occupational Therapist Assistant Student at Easter Seals Southwest Florida where they observed evaluations, assessments, and interventions in a pediatric setting. Jaquelyn then gained further experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant Student at Kobernick-Anchin-Benderson in inpatient rehabilitation, where they developed and performed client-centered interventions and collaborated in discharge planning.
Following their education, Jaquelyn worked as an Occupational Therapist Assistant Student at Sensory Solutions, LLC, where they assisted in evaluations, administered standardized assessments, and performed client-centered interventions in pediatric outpatient settings. Jaquelyn also received training in Sensory Integration, pre-writing skills, oral motor therapy, and the Wilbarger Brushing Protocol.
In 2017, Jaquelyn joined Kindred Healthcare as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant PRN. In this role, they utilized current procedural terminology (CPT) medical codes for appropriate documentation, fulfilled individual work responsibilities to assist with departmental productivity, and provided therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation.
Jaquelyn then worked at Soul To Soul Yoga, LLC as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant PRN- Home Health- All Ages Therapy. Here, they provided training and intervention to children aged 7-18 with mental illness and physical disabilities. Jaquelyn developed personalized wellness groups and led therapy sessions both in-home and through video conferencing, anticipating client needs and creating treatment strategies.
Jaquelyn also worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant PRN- Home Health at Doctor's Choice Home Care, Inc., where they provided therapy services in a home health setting.
From 2017 to 2021, Jaquelyn worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant PRN at Encompass Health. In this role, they were proficient in data entry and care management, assisted with scheduling treatment sessions, and actively communicated with interdisciplinary client care teams to ensure customer success.
At Life Care Centers of America, Jaquelyn worked as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant- PRN, and then joined Reliant Rehabilitation as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant PRN. In these roles, they took ownership of external stakeholders, managed a customer-facing caseload for high-risk clients with various disabilities, built rapport with clients to ensure goals were met, and managed relationships to improve client success.
Currently, Jaquelyn is working at Maven Clinic as a Care Advocate Level 1, and will transition to the role of Care Advocate Level 2 in April 2023.
Jaquelyn Baugh, COTA/L, attended the State College of Florida-Manatee-Sarasota from 2012 to 2014, where they earned an Associate's Degree. Jaquelyn continued their education at the same institution from 2014 to 2016, obtaining an Associate of Science - AS in Occupational Therapist Assistant. In July 2016, they obtained their certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
